Creation could give many different answers depending on what religion, however in Zen Buddhist (Bongwonsa), the search for creation was to be enlightened. During the feild trip, i saw many different Buddha, three thousand Buddha and a giant huge Buddha who helps people to defind their enlightenment,also the future and seven star Buddhas. Enlightenment was explained as going beyond the thoughts in our minds, and according to the temple, thoughts and worries are just the shadow of our own and can never dominate us, but people still think and worrie because they just think those as real. The method or the practice of being enlightenment was to bow(Be) three times to the Giant Buddha where three thousand Buddhas are, and you will become buddha some time in the future. Also, in the ten pictures of definding Enlightement(Cow) explained a lot. The cow was represented as thoughts and worries, however if we dominate the cow, then we become buddha.
In Taoism, people find themselves by trying to be as closest to the God, the nature. Taoism followers could spend thier whole lifetime to find themselves or to achive self understanding. However, the overall God, or the nature was polluted by industrial revolusion throught out years. I think this made people to have much harder time to defind the enlightment.
